Holly Hock and Leena Allure’s Burlesque show on Film!

A while back I posted some videos of Holly Hock and Leena Allure’s burlesque performances from the Rumbleville grand opening celebration.
Well at the same time I was filming the videos I was also shooting some Kodak Tri-X 400 in a Konica BigMini Zoom camera! I recently developed the film using Ilford DD-X. Previously I’ve had thin negatives when using the BigMini Zoom in low or tricky lighting. I gave it about an extra minute and a half to try to push it a little. Unfortunately these negatives are a bit on the thin side. I might be able to still print them, but I worry the results won’t be as good as these scans.
Still these negative scans have a great vintage vibe to them. They were take this summer but have an almost 1970-80s feel to me. Not because of how the subjects look but just the overall feel of the image. The tonal compression and heightened contrast from forcing a thin negative maybe.
Well without further ado here’s Leena!
And Holly Hock!
