Las Vegas on Velvia Part 1 – Lights!

Last year I had the opportunity to spend a couple days in Las Vegas. I’m not the gambling type, but I took the opportunity to shoot several rolls of film. With all the color and vibrance my first thoughts went straight to a roll of Velvia 100 I’d had in my fridge for years. I couldn’t tell you how old it was but I’m thinking at least 5 years old though possibly up to 14. I know I bought it fresh, just really no idea when. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Still it was my first pick. I wanted to take id down to Fremont St to capture some of the lights of Old Down Town Vegas. I think it worked really well! Besides Fremont St (more on that a little later) I shot about 2/3rds of the roll at Red Rock Canyon which will be Part 2. I shot these with my Canon EOS 620 and if I recall correctly I brought my Canon EF 40mm/2.8 pancake lens on this excursion.

This film was processed via mail-order at The DarkRoom, and these are the lower res scans they provided on CD/DVD. I was really pleased with their work!
